We are  fortunate to have received excellent support from our oral history contributors, whose memories are now a part of the website experience. We are very grateful to them all:

Cheryl Thornley

Lived on the Moray Fields property with her sister and their mother and father in the 1950s. They were the Williams’.

Karen Williams

Lived on the Moray Fields property with her sister and their mother and father in the 1950s. They were the Williams’.

Travis Williams

Karen’s son and it was his first visit to a place he had heard a lot about. He helped us to digitise Cheryl and Karen’s images – thanks Trav!

Bob Towson

Hadn’t been to the place for over 70 years. He used to work here on the cattle property before the Second World War broke out in 1939. Bob, now 95 years old, shared his memories of the place with us and it was very interesting.

Frank Buckley

Frank’s family have lived around here for a long time. He talked to us about the place when it was a Dairy property, the largest in Queensland at one time.

Daniel Awiyawi

Daniel is a local Caboolture resident who is also a descendant of the South Sea Islander people who originally came here to work at Moray Field in the 1800s.
